Art blocks is the place to go for the fine art scene in NFTs. More specifically focused on generative/procedural art, Art Blocks is a gallery of the best in class when it comes to code based artworks.

Created by Snowfro, Art Blocks was built as a platform from which creators can launch their generative artworks. Art Blocks is not a collection in itself, but rather a collection of collections, some of which have been extremely successful, selling pieces for 7 and 8 figure price tags at the height of the 2021 bull run.

There are a whole bunch of great collections on Art Blocks, which can be browsed through on Opensea, and there are new collections minting all the time, which can be checked out on the Art Blocks website. Some collections of note include Fidenza by Tyler Hobbs, Ringers by Dmitri Cherniak, and Chromie Squiggle by Snowfro. There are many, many more on Opensea.

The Art Blocks collection is split into three sections, Curated, Factory and Playground, with each section serving its own purpose in the Art Blocks ecosystem.

Art Blocks Curated is the premier collection on the Art Blocks platform, and it is here that the biggest artists drop their best work. If you are a collector with some money to spend, this is the best place to start looking for your next grail piece.

Art Blocks Playground is a place for creative coders that have already been featured on Art Blocks Curated, to release more experimental, or playful work. The pieces here are not to be overlooked, and if you are seriously here for the art, you may find pieces here that you really love. That goes for Art Blocks Factory too.

Art Blocks Factory is a place for artists who have not yet featured on Art Blocks Curated, to release their work and get their name out there. The prices are not as high here, and the cheaper entry makes for a great opportunity to build a cool NFT art collection, at a time when most of the world doesn’t realize how cool it is.
