Goblintown dropped as a free mint right as the bear market was starting in earnest and the timing could not have been better. NFT degens were drowning in a sea of red, and suddenly these ugly goblin creatures appeared on our timelines.
Initially the founders were anonymous, creating an air of mystery around the project. The quality of the artwork was clear though, even if it was super ugly.
As time went on Goblintown shot to a floor of about 7 ETH, although it has since retraced. The team has delivered follow up drops to holders such as goblin burgers and grumpl traps, the storylines for which are still unfolding, and have even dropped a special 1/1 piece to their largest holder as a thank you for his investment.
The team has since doxxed and it turns out that Truth is behind the project.
And who or what is Truth, I hear you ask. From what I understand, Truth is a vehicle for the artwork of GR≡Y and let me tell you the art is pretty cool. Truth has had success already with Illuminati Collective, as well as with an airdropped collection to the first 187 holders of the Illuminati Collective, called naturally enough, the187. Being a popular collection with a smaller supply the187 has a high floor price, sitting at 21.4 ETH at time of writing.
