Doodles has made a significant move in the entertainment world by announcing the inception of Doodles Records in collaboration with Sony’s Orchard. This new venture aims to blend music, animation, and technology to craft unparalleled content experiences. The debut project of this record label is the soundtrack for “Dullsville and the Doodleverse,” an animated short film set to premiere later this year.

The inaugural release from Doodles Records is an EP that features a three-song soundtrack for the upcoming film. The soundtrack includes “Not in the Store” by Coi Leray, “Can’t Hold Me Down” by Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, and Kyle Richh, and “Doodleverse (Draw Me Closer)” by Swae Lee, Lil Yachty, and Pharrell Williams. These songs will be accompanied by animated videos directed by Doodles’ founder, Burnt Toast, in collaboration with the in-house animation studio, Golden Wolf.

Unveiling ‘Dullsville and the Doodleverse’

“Dullsville and the Doodleverse” is poised to make its debut in September at the Toronto International Film Festival. The first trailer, released on July 17, takes viewers to the town of Dullsville, where imagination is controlled by the corporation Dream Pump Industries. The story follows the protagonists, Hap and his cat Mello, who stumble upon a Dream Pump Industries delivery truck that transports them into the Doodleverse, a realm teeming with creativity and imagination. Hap must overcome his self-doubt and embrace his creativity to return home and transform life in Dullsville.

DoodlesTV: Early Access to Music and Videos

In tandem with the launch of Doodles Records, Doodles has introduced DoodlesTV, a platform offering fans early access to music releases and video premieres. “Music is and will continue to be a core pillar of Doodles,” says Julian Holguin, CEO of Doodles. “Releasing music with some of the most legendary and relevant artists in the world on our first project is a dream come true and a massive source of pride. Starting next week, fans can purchase a season one all-access media pass for DoodlesTV, providing early viewing of the “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” animated special.
