DeGods is the premier NFT collection on the Solana blockchain. During the course of a severe bear market they have managed to build up their collection into a top 5 collection across all blockchains. Granted, they have been helped somewhat by other collections dropping off during depressed market conditions, but nonetheless the growth that they have seen over the last few months has been nothing short of impressive.
It has not been all smooth sailing for DeGods, with the collection seeing floor price drop to below 1 Sol for a time, making many of those of little faith sell out of the project. This trying time in the project’s history did not phase the DeGods founder, @FrankDegods one bit, and the collection has gone from strength to strength since.

Part of the reason that the collection has bee so successful to date, is that the team is constantly innovating, and seeking to provide value for holders. In this spirit the team has implemented a token that goes along with the DeGods NFT collection, called $DUST. While many projects have tried to implement tokens unsuccessfully, $DUST has a number of clever use cases that make it a relevant token. One of these is the necessity to spend $DUST when upgrading your DeGod to a DeadGod, which is an upgraded form of the original token. DeGods have also implemented a DAO, which seems to have made some good decisions to date which can be read about on their website.
On top of all of this innovation, people on Twitter seem to really like the art. Since art is subjective I’ll let you be the judge.
On 02 September 2022 DeGods will release a follow up collection y00ts, and this has caused mass hype in the NFT space. If this drop goes well, it could see the DeGods collection ascend to an even higher level of respect and admiration in the NFT space.
